Wig Care. Wigs in Sydney for womens wigs, mens wigs, fashion wigs and accessories www.wigsinsydney.com.au
When you first receive your wig it should be unpacked and then detangled. A bristle brush is the best as combs and plastic tooth brushes can pull on hair too harshly
Start at the bottom edge of the wig and comb 20 to 30mm at a time, working your way up the wig slowly. Repeat this process for all sections of the wig.
Wigs should be combed before and after you use them.
Ideally your wig should be stored on a wig stand, however if this is not possible carefully fold the hair into the fibre braded cap and put it inside a hair net.
If you want to store your wig in a plastic bag, gently turn the wig inside out and loosely fold the hair into the braided liner of the wig. Use loose folds as tight folds can permanently affect the style of your wig.
Remember, use a brush and a little bit of care and your wig will give your years of use.
As wigs are synthetic there is no requirement for washing. If your wig does get dirty it can be washed with normal shampoo and blown dry on cold setting only. hairspray can also be used |
